United States — The DHS announced $50 million in awards from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to purchase new explosive detection systems and advanced technology X-ray units.
DHS will purchase 123 reduced-size explosives detection systems from Reveal Imaging Technologies for approximately $47 million, and 44 advanced technology X-ray units from Rapiscan Systems for about $3 million.
